The affordable housing lottery has launched for 278 Eighth Avenue, a 14-story mixed-use building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Chelsea 23rd Realty Corporation, an LLC affiliated with JJ Operating, the structure yields 190 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 48 units for residents at 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $26,092 to $198,250. For units where the income limit is set at 40, 60, and 80 percent of the AMI, units are designated for individuals or households that have at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older.

Developer Closes on $94M Loan for 247 North Avenue in New Rochelle, New York

Developer LCOR has closed on a $94 million loan to complete a 28-story residential tower in New Rochelle, New York. The property is located at 247 North Avenue and is on track to debut as one of the largest buildings to incorporate a geothermal system for heating and cooling interior spaces.

HPD Selects Project Team for Low-Income Housing Development at 542 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has selected a trio of companies to convert an existing parking lot into a low income housing property for seniors and the formerly homeless. Located at 542 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, transformation of the city-owned lot will be led by Jobe Development Corp., Mega Group Development, and the Institute for Community Living, a non-profit agency based in New York.

Yonkers IDA Approves Financial incentives for Two Affordable Housing Projects for Seniors

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by the Community League of the Heights in a joint venture with Children’s Village, Ranger Properties, Alembic Community Development, and Housing Workshop, the structure yields 174 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 138 units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $16,183 to $105,060.
