Construction at 500 West 25th Street is now topped out and the installation of glass panels in the curtain wall is almost complete. GF55 Partners is the architect of record for the ten-story building while GDS Development is the developer. The site is located next to the High Line at the corner of West 25th Street and Tenth Avenue.
Permits have been filed for a 12-story class A office building at 322 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. Located on the northwest corner of 28th Street and Seventh avenue, the lot is steps away from the 28th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. It is also directly opposite the Fashion Institute of Technology. Michael Kirchmann and Alan Rudikoff of GDSNY is developing the boutique office tower.
The ABI Chelsea, aka 455 West 19th Street, an upcoming residential project between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, is nearing completion. The ten-story building is designed by Raed Abillama Architects, a Lebanon-based firm, while Paik Architecture is serving as the architect of record. The ten-unit condominium is being developed by Al Amir Holdings, which is expecting a projected sellout of $77.5 million.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission will again review proposals from Vornado and Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners to redevelop and expand an existing building in the city’s West Chelsea Historic District.
Work on the foundations for 132 West 28th Street is now underway. Located in Chelsea between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, the structure will be a 326-foot-tall, 32-story Aloft Hotel with 203 rooms. Peter Poon Architects is behind the design while Frank Ng is the developer. Recent photos show that the building is one floor away from reaching street level.
