Cushman & Wakefield is marketing the three-story, 13,040 square-foot building at 217-219 West 21st Street, in Chelsea, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. The property has 6,710 square feet of unused air rights, according to Commercial Observer, but a developer could also demolish the existing structure for a new building. Leases currently occupy parts of the building, but expire at the end of 2017.
The team behind Sherwood Equities’ luxury condo development at 500 West 21st Street sent along a time lapse video of the building rising next to the High Line, beginning in March of last year and ending last month.
Last week, YIMBY posted an update with the first full renderings for 239 Tenth Avenue, a new eight-unit condominium project that’s about to begin construction on the northwest corner of 24th Street and Tenth Avenue. Now we have another set of images for the building, dubbed “The Getty,” which is being designed by Peter Marino and developed by Victor Group and Shvo.
Back in September, YIMBY reported on the first permits for 239 Tenth Avenue, a new building which is being developed by Victor Homes and Michael Shvo. Renderings were glimpsed previously, but we now have the full reveal for the 12-story building, which will have only eight condominiums.
Next to Chelsea Market and across the street from Google’s block-long office building, Vornado Realty Trust has filed plans for a 10-story office and retail project at 61 9th Avenue, on the corner of West 15th Street in Chelsea.
