Activity Resumes on 1,011-Foot Supertall at 262 Fifth Avenue in NoMad, Manhattan

Excavation has finally begun at 262 Fifth Avenue, the site of a long-planned 1,011-foot-tall residential supertall skyscraper in NoMad. Designed by Russian-based firm Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project, LLC, the 60-story tower will yield 139,168 square feet of residential space divided into 41 units and 10,850 square feet of retail space on the first two floors. CM & Associates Construction Management, LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

555 West 38th Street Nears Completion in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

555 West 38th Street stands topped out as a 570-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. Developed by Rockrose and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects with SLCE as the architect of record, the 52-story reinforced concrete structure will yield a total of 598 rental units. Site C GC LLC is stated on the construction board as the general contractor for the project, which is located along Eleventh Avenue between West 38th Street and West 39th Street, and sits directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

One Wall Street’s Residential Conversion and Retail Addition Wraps Up in Financial District, Manhattan

Work is wrapping up on One Wall Street, the largest office-to-residential conversion project in New York City’s history. Developed by Macklowe Properties, the 90-year-old, 564-foot-tall Art Deco building is undergoing a 21st century restoration and overhaul that will yield 566 new residential units, a 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, and a four-floor 75,000-square-foot Life Time fitness center on the lower levels of the Financial District property. At the top of the mid-century annex is a multi-story addition that was designed by SLCE Architects. Compass Development Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing for the homes with the help of a sales gallery located within the Red Room on the ground floor. One Wall Street is bound by Broadway and Trinity Church to the west, Wall Street to the north, Exchange Place to the south, and New Street to the east. JT Magen is the general contractor for the complex project.

200 East 83rd Street’s Façade Installation Continues on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Façade installation is continuing to progress on 200 East 83rd Street, a 35-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 243,128-square-foot reinforced concrete superstructure will yield 86 units spread over 205,877 square feet, averaging 2,393 square feet apiece. Sales for the homes are currently underway and are being handled by Compass. SLCE Architects is the architect of record and Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.
