Hunters Point South Towers Begin to Rise on Center Boulevard in Hunters Point, Queens

Construction is moving along on a pair of residential buildings at the Hunters Point South Towers development in Hunters Point, Queens. Workers are preparing to pour the fourth floor of what will become a 46-story, 394-unit structure at 52-41 Center Boulevard, while rebar is protruding from the site of the taller, 56-story tower at 52-03 Center Boulevard in preparation for the formation of the ground floor columns and walls. TF Cornerstone is the developer of the complex, which is designed by ODA Architecture with SLCE Architects as the architect of record.

The Cove Nears Completion at 43-12 Hunter Street in Long Island City

Construction on 43-12 Hunter Street, now referred to The Cove, is nearing completion in Long Island City. The curtain wall has reached the top of the 18-story reinforced concrete structure and work is wrapping up on the ground floor façade and interiors. The Queens project is designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, which purchased the site for $1 million back in 2006. Slade Architecture is in charge of the interior design. There will be 123 units, 37 units being affordable homes, or roughly 30 percent of the total.

The façade for Vandewater is reaching the upper floors of the 33-story, 385-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure, in Morningside Heights. Located at 543 West 122nd Street, the residential building now towers over the surrounding neighborhood. The project is designed by INC Architecture & Design, with SLCE Architects serving as the executive architect. Savanna is the developer, and Halstead Development Marketing is handling sales for the 183 condominiums.

One Wall Street’s Residential Conversion and Addition Continues in Financial District

Work is moving along at One Wall Street, the largest office-to-condominium conversion project in New York City real estate history. The Financial District building has been steadily making progress with its interior makeovers, including the soaring oxblood and orange-colored walls and ceilings of the historic Red Room. Meanwhile, the glass curtain wall for the retail addition on the lower levels, as well as the multi-story addition atop the mid-century annex are becoming more prominent. SLCE Architects is the architect of record, and Macklowe Properties is the developer of the $1.5 billion project. CORE is handling sales and marketing of the planned 566 residential units.
