Calyer Place’s 40-Story Tower Nears Topping Out in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is approaching topping out on Calyer Place, a 40-story residential tower in GreenpointBrooklyn. The master plan is being done by Cooper Robertson & Partners and SLCE Architects is the designer of the buildings. M&H Realty LLC is the developer of the 439-foot-tall tower will be joined by another 40-story structure and a pair of 19- and 14-story buildings. In total, the development will yield 1 million square feet with around 700,000 square feet of residential space spread across 700 apartments, as well as 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The entire project is expected to cost $500 million. The land was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire in the mid-2000s and was demolished in 2017.

Stern Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Related Companies, the structure will yield 144 residential units spread over 250,000 square feet, for an average of 2,245 square feet. Related Sales LLC and CORE are the co-sales and marketing agents for the property, which is located along West Street across from Hudson River Park between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets. Sales will launch early this year and homes range from studios to five-bedroom layouts, along with a collection of exclusive penthouses.

Façade work is making progress on 2330 Broadway, an 18-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Welltower, Inc. and Hines, the reinforced concrete structure will yield 162 residences spread across 109,315 square feet, for an average of 674 square feet apiece. The property will offer supportive programming with a focus on memory care, and half of the units will be reserved for seniors with memory and cognitive disorders. Broadway 85 LLC is the owner and Hunter Robert Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 85th Street.
