The United Methodist Church and Bronx Pro Group have partnered to redevelop a long-vacant church property at 1080 Washington Avenue in Morrisania, The Bronx into a 100-percent affordable housing project. Designed by Curtis & Ginsberg Architects, the new 12-story, 114,000-square-foot building will eventually yield 154 units of senior housing, residential amenities, and 5,712 square feet of community facilities.
Residential development firm Bronx Pro Group, which specializes in the construction of affordable housing properties, has released preliminary renderings of a new, 16-story mixed-use building in Mount Hope, The Bronx. The proposed building is located at 1769 Jerome Avenue and could yield 175 rental units, along with 7,667 square feet for a retail tenant and community facilities. The project scope also includes the design of pedestrian areas and improved landscaping.
A trio of big-name developers has launched leasing at 360 Huguenot, a 28-story, mixed-use development at 360 Huguenot Street in downtown New Rochelle. A collaboration by RXR Realty, ABS Partners, and Brause Realty, the new building contains 280 rentals, 14,000 square feet of retail, and a 10,000-square-foot arts and culture space.
Permits have yet to be filed for Woodside Green, a mixed-use complex in Elmhurst, Queens, as plans have not been finalized. The Hakimian Organization is credited as the developer of the property following its purchase of construction rights from Piermont Properties in 2018. (Update: According to the developer, it is likely the project will not be called Woodside Green.)
Developer Piermont Properties has released the first renderings of a new, six-story multi-residential development at 188-11 Hillside Avenue in Hollis, Queens. Designed by Meltzer/Mandl Architects as a consultant for EDI International, the building will eventually comprise a mix of market-rate rental apartments, community-oriented facilities, and two levels of sub-grade parking.
