323 East 61st Street Nears Topping Out on the Upper East Side

Work is getting close to topping out at 323 East 61st Street, a six-story structure on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Memorial Sloan Kettering is set to lease the entire building, which will stand 74 feet tall and yield 61,740 square feet, of which 49,750 square feet will be dedicated to community facilities. The project is designed by Daniel Goldner Architects and developed by LaSalle Investment Management and William Macklowe Company.

Construction Reaches Top of 1245 Broadway’s Podium in NoMad

Construction has reached the top of the podium section at 1245 Broadway, a 23-story, 200,000-square-foot commercial office building NoMad. Workers from StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are continuing to tie the steel rebar and build the formwork for the reinforced concrete perimeter columns and floor slabs. Designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill and co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern, the building will eventually top out at 318 feet tall. CBRE began leasing the building’s class A office space in late 2019.

Construction Tops Out on Maverick at 215 West 28th Street in Chelsea

Construction has topped out on Maverick, a two-building, 210-foot-tall residential project at 215 West 28th Street in Chelsea. Located between Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue, the 20-story development is designed by DXA Architects and being developed by HAP Investments, and consists of abutting buildings spanning over 300,000 square feet. The structurally identical reinforced concrete superstructures are addressed as 215-219 West 28th Street and 221-229 West 28th Street.

Ritz Carlton Continues to Rise at 1185 Broadway in NoMad

Construction is approaching the final floors of the NoMad Ritz Carlton Hotel. Located at 1185 Broadway at the northern intersection of West 28th Street, the reinforced concrete structure will soon top out at 580 feet tall, yielding 150,000 square feet and 250 guest rooms. The 40-story skyscraper is designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties. The interiors are being designed by Yabu Pushelberg.
