David Adjaye’s 130 William Street Sees Major Design Update, Financial District

YIMBY has covered 130 William Street extensively, from back when preliminary permits were first filed in 2015, to the recent start of foundation work. Now, the building has seen another design shift, with new renderings by architect David Adjaye revealing a substantial transformation to the exterior as compared to the most recent images. The 61-story tower is being developed by Lightstone, and is just about ready to start rising above ground level.

Work Resumes at 161 Maiden Lane, aka One Seaport, Financial District

Construction in New York City can be a dangerous occupation, and unfortunately, Juan Chinchillo lost his life on September 21st, when he fell from 161 Maiden Lane, aka 1 Seaport. While the project has been on hold for two months while the Department of Buildings investigated, they have now partially lifted the stop-work orders imposed after the accident, and work appears to be resuming on the tower.

Concrete Pouring Begins for David Adjaye’s 800′ Tower at 130 William Street

The last time YIMBY checked in on The Lightstone Group’s 130 William Street back in August, excavation work was still underway, as the exteriors of neighboring buildings were also being faced in a protective covering. Now, per the latest from rbrome, concrete trucks have arrived on-site, as foundation work has also started, signaling that the soon-to-be 800′ tower is about to start rising.

1399 Park Avenue Nears Topping-Out in East Harlem, Manhattan

One of the largest new developments in East Harlem is now making substantial headway at 1399 Park Avenue, on the corner of East 104th Street, as shown in the latest progress photos by Tectonic. Heritage Real Estate Partners report that the structure will be topping out soon. Window installation is expected to start by mid-January, but the concrete exterior seen now will likely remain about the same through completion, judging by the renderings.
