Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed use building at 4697 Third Avenue, in Belmont, The Bronx. The lot is on the corner of Third Avenue and East 188th Street. Located seven blocks to the east is the Fordham Road station, serviced by the B and D trains. The Fordham MetroNorth train station is located three blocks north of the development. The new construction is also close to main throughways Webster Avenue and East Fordham Road.

Hello Living Acquires 4650 Broadway for $55 Million, Releases New Renderings

Hello Living’s first foray into Manhattan development will be a pricey one. The Brooklyn-based full-service real estate development firm announced earlier this week their plans to acquire 4650 Broadway in Inwood. If that address rings a bell, it’s because FBE Limited purchased the site this past spring from Acadia Realty Trust for $26 million. At $55 million, Hello Living paid more than twice that for 370,039 buildable square feet.

A new nine-story residential building is coming to the intersection of Gateway Boulevard and Mott Avenue, at 1403 Gateway Boulevard, in Far Rockaway, Queens. Frank Monterisi of Greenport Land Acquisition is the developer. The site is currently a fenced-off open space, and will require no demolition permits.

New Construction Permits Filed for 1998 Webster Avenue in The West Bronx

New permits have been filed for a four-story hotel at 1998 Webster Avenue, in The West Bronx. Located on the corner of main thoroughfare Webster Avenue and Alden Place, this site is close to Richman Echo Park. The lot is about three blocks from the Metro-North Tremont train station, and a 10 minute walk from the Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Samir Patel is responsible for the development, who previously filed for permits for this site in 2016.

New 8-Story Residential Building Coming to 3073 Barker Avenue in Williamsbridge, The Bronx

Located in the Bronx neighborhood of Williamsbridge near the Bronx River Parkway, a new eight-story residential building will rise at 3073 Barker Avenue. The ground-up structure set on the interior of the block will include a cellar level and a total of 25 units.

Two New Hotels Coming to 51 and 55 Sheffield Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn

More than 130 hotel units are coming to East New York according to new construction permits recently filed by hotel developer Nehalkumar Gandhi. Located between Fulton Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, the two projects at 51 and 55 Sheffield Avenue will have convenient access to multiple mass transit options. The LIRR East New York station is four blocks away, as is the Atlantic Avenue subway station serviced by the L train.

DDG Files For Substantial New Project at 106 North 1st Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Another apartment building is coming to Williamsburg. The new seven-story residential project at 106 North 1st will have commercial space on the ground floor. The neighborhood has seen an influx of condos in the past few years, and an office development is currently in the works directly across the street, at 107 North 1st Street.

Located on the corner of Tuckerton Street and main thoroughfare Liberty Avenue, the development is three blocks away from the Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer subway station, serviced by the E, J and Z trains. Amritpal Sandhu’s Liberty Tuck NY LLC is listed as the developer.

30-Story Residential High-Rise Planned for 1625 Shore Parkway in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a new 30-story residential building at 1625 Shore Parkway, in the South Brooklyn neighborhood of Bensonhurst. The site is between Belt Parkway and Cropsey Avenue, and about three blocks away from Bensonhurst Park. The closest subway station, Bay Parkway, sits three avenues away and is serviced by the D train. The historically Italian neighborhood has a fabric more akin to suburban sprawl, featuring many big-box shopping options. The new structure will be located near Caesar’s Bay Shopping Center, a commercial strip with stores including BJ’s Wholesale, Best Buy, and Modell’s Sporting Goods.

Google Eyeing St. John’s Terminal Expansion in the West Village, Manhattan

Expect an additional 8,500 Google employees in Manhattan if the giant tech company scores a deal for St. John’s Terminal, at 550 Washington Street. If you’ve lost count, it adds up to a projected 19K Googlers working in the city. That includes the 7,000 headcount (as of early 2018) in their current office space at 111 8th Avenue near Chelsea Market, and the 3,500-staff member expansion currently in the works as a result of Google’s $2.4 billion purchase of 300,000 square feet at Chelsea Market and another 250,000 square feet at Pier 57.
