Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1123 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Lewis Avenue and Broadway, the lot covers 1101-1123 Myrtle Avenue and is steps from the Myrtle Avenue subway station, served by the J, M, and Z trains. Yitzchok Schwartz of YS Developers LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 86-foot-tall development will yield 123,133 square feet, with 119,896 square feet designated for residential space, 2,432 square feet for community facility space, and 803 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 77 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,557 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Hamish Whitefield Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the one-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
