The installation of new glass curtain walls on the lower levels of 388 Greenwich Street and its annex at 390 Greenwich Street is almost complete. The taller, 39-story office building rises above the Tribeca waterfront across from Pier 25 and Pier 26. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the 14-story-high glass envelope, while Gensler is leading the interior renovations in both structures.
Demolition on one of several buildings at 10-14 West 57th Street has been completed. The remaining neighboring structures sit empty and will soon come down to make way for a 52-story mixed-use skyscraper designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill. James Patterson of Ancora Engineering is the applicant of record. Sheldon Solow, chairman of Solow Realty & Development Group, is the developer for the site and Anthony Calicchio is listed as the owner behind the applications. The new 672-foot-tall, 383,000-square-foot skyscraper will contain 80 residential units spread across 202,738 square feet of space.
Permits have been filed for a 19-story office building at 310 Hudson Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Located between Spring Street and Vandam Street, the lot is two blocks west of the Spring Street subway station, serviced by the C and E trains. Andrew Arel of Disney Corporate Real Estate is listed as the owner behind the application under the Hudson Square Realty LLC .
Following nearly a dozen years of urban planning and construction costs in excess of $15 billion, the Hudson Yards mega development’s first phase is rounding the corner toward completion as its commercial, retail, and residential properties hit the market. Related Companies has opened three model units at 35 Hudson Yards, the second residential skyscraper within the new West Side neighborhood.
Work on 15, 30, and 35 Hudson Yards in the first phase of Related Companies’ master plan is wrapping up, as the construction elevator hoists on the exterior of the skyscrapers are in the process of being dismantled. The fast pace of construction at the $25 billion Midtown site was followed by a number of milestone completions, dedication ceremonies, and openings. 15 Hudson Yards is designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Rockwell Group, 30 Hudson Yards by Kohn Pedersen Fox, and 35 Hudson Yards by Skidmore Owings & Merrill.
