1245 Broadway’s Exterior Wraps Up in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is wrapping up on 1245 Broadway, a 23-story commercial building in NoMad. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klövern AB, the 318-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 200,000 square feet of office space with marketing and leasing handled by CBRE. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are both in charge of building the Midtown, Manhattan property, which stands at the corner of West 31st Street and Broadway, a short walk from Koreatown, Herald Square, and Madison Square Park.

Façade Installation Begins for Disney‘s New York Headquarters at Four Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Façade installation has begun on Four Hudson Square, Disney’s rising 22-story New York headquarters at 137 Varick Street in Hudson Square. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, the 338-foot-tall structure will yield 1.2 million square feet of commercial space. The media giant purchased the rectangular full-block parcel from Trinity Church Real Estate for a total of $650 million, and Skanska was in charge of demolishing four old structures that once occupied the site. Lendlease is constructing the new headquarters, which is bound by Varick Street to the east, Spring Street to the south, Hudson Street to the west, and Vandam Street to the north.

SOM’s 28&7 Stands Completed at 322-326 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 28&7, a 12-story office building at 322-326 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Corem and GDSNY, the reinforced concrete superstructure yields 105,000 square feet of office space marketed by CBRE. Triton Construction was the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of West 28th Street and Seventh Avenue, directly above the 28th Street subway station, servicing the local 1 train. The developers are aiming for LEED Gold and WELL certifications.
