Construction has topped out on 1057 Atlantic Avenue, a 17-story residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by dencityworks and developed by Douglaston Development, the sprawling 474,000-square-foot structure will yield 456 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 137 units reserved for affordable housing, as well as 35,000 square feet of amenities and 31,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Levine Builders is the general contractor for the $320 million project, which was formerly addressed as 1045 Atlantic Avenue and is located between Classon and Franklin Avenues.

Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, 338-foot-tall structure will yield 1.2 million square feet of offices, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail space. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is alternately addressed as 137 Varick Street and formerly addressed as 4 Hudson Square, and stands on an 85,600-square-foot full-block plot bound by Vandam Street to the north, Spring Street to the south, Varick Street to the east, and Hudson Street to the west.

25 Water Street’s Expansion Tops Out in Financial District, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 25 Water Street, a 32-story office-to-residential conversion and expansion in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by GFP Real Estate, Metro Loft Management, and Rockwood Capital, the project involves the construction of ten stories above the parapet of the former 22-story office building, the replacement of much of its old façade with a modern fenestration featuring more expansive glass, and the gut renovation of its 1.1 million square feet of interiors into 1,300 rental units.
