Rendering Reveals Rooftop Infinity Pool at 262 Fifth Avenue in NoMad, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for 262 Fifth Avenue, a 52-story residential skyscraper under construction in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development, the 860-foot-tall structure will yield 26 full-floor and duplex condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. PG New York is installing the building’s comprehensive envelope, which consists of a large aluminum and triple-glass curtain wall system and a facade featuring aluminum and solar photovoltaic panels. SLCE Architects is the executive architect for the property, which is located at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

Excavation Underway for Three-Building Complex at 280 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

Excavation is progressing at 280 Bergen Street, the site of an 11-story residential complex in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitfield Architects and developed by Goose Property Management, the 302,000-square-foot project will consist of three abutting structures, each yielding 99 rental units for a total of 297 homes in studio to two-bedroom layouts. The development will also include approximately 9,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located by the corner of Bergen Street and 3rd Avenue.

New renderings have been revealed for the proposed 29-story office-to-residential conversion and vertical expansion of 609 Fifth Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects and developed in a joint venture between RJ Capital Holdings and Top Rock Holdings, the project would more than double the height of the existing 14-story office structure from 187 feet to 408 feet tall and increase its square footage by 93,000 to nearly 226,000 square feet. The revamped building is slated to yield 66 condominium units. The property is alternately addressed as 4 East 49th Street and located at the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and East 49th Street.

Vertical progress is underway on 70 Hudson Yards, a 52-story commercial skyscraper in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners and Gensler and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the 832-foot-tall structure is planned to become New York’s first zero-carbon-emission skyscraper and will yield just under 1.4 million square feet of office space. The property is alternately addressed as 514 West 36th Street and located along Hudson Boulevard East between by West 35th and 36th Streets.
