$205M Financing Secured For 420 Carroll Street In Gowanus, Brooklyn

Domain Companies and Silverstein Properties have secured $205 million in financing for 420 Carroll Street, a recently completed residential development in Gowanus, Brooklyn. JLL Capital Markets arranged the bridge take-out loan, which was provided by AllianceBernstein. The 360-unit property is the first multi-housing property delivered under the 2021 Gowanus rezoning initiative and is located along the Gowanus Canal near the intersection of Carroll and Nevins Streets.

Updated renderings have been revealed for Anagram Gowanus, a 20-story residential building under construction at 450 Union Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SO-IL and developed by Tankhouse and McArthur Holdings, the 203,000-square-foot structure will 158 rental apartments in studio- to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. A portion of the residential inventory will be reserved for affordable housing. Magnusson Architecture & Planning is the architect of record for the project, which is located at the intersection of Union and Bond Streets.

Governor Hochul Announces Project Grants Through NYS Infrastructure Program

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced more than $36 million in awards to 48 infrastructure projects statewide. This includes funding for two initiatives in the New York City area: the Northville Commons affordable housing development in Suffolk County and sewer infrastructure upgrades in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The grants are part of the County Infrastructure Grant Program, which supports local investments that promote economic development and housing growth.
