Gowanus

Construction is nearing completion on Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place, a pair of 21-story residential buildings at 267 Bond Street and 498 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Property Markets Group, the 225-foot-tall structures span 605,000 square feet and will yield 517 residential units, as well as 52,000 square feet of commercial space. Twenty-five percent of the apartments will be reserved for affordable housing. The property is bound by DeGraw Street to the north, Sackett Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Bond Street to the west.

Construction is rising on Nevins Landing, a two-tower residential development at 310-340 Nevins Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital, the project consists of the 22-story Nevins Landing North at 310 Nevins Street and the 17-story Nevins Landing South at 340 Nevins Street. The two buildings will span a combined 600,000 square feet and yield 654 rental units, with 25 percent reserved for affordable housing. The 2.3-acre project site is alternately addressed as 417 Carroll Street and located on a large rectangular parcel along the Gowanus Canal between Union and Carroll Streets.

Construction is wrapping up on Union Channel, a nine-story residential building at 240 Third Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies, the 95-foot-tall structure will span 210,000 square feet and yield 224 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, along with 8,900 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Twenty-five percent of the apartments will be designated for affordable housing. The property is alternately addressed as 585 Union Street and bound by Sackett Street to the north, Union Street to the south, and 3rd Avenue to the east.
