Designed by Monica Lopez Architect and developed by Frederick Shack of Urban Pathways Inc., the structure yields 79 residences. Available on New York State Housing Search are nine units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $28,000 to $71,280.

Excavation Begins for 1,162-Foot Mixed-Use Supertall at 655 Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Excavation is underway at 655 Madison Avenue, the site of a 74-story mixed-use supertall skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Extell, the 1,162-foot-tall structure will span 764,698 square feet and yield 154 condominium units with an average scope of 3,091 square feet. The project will also include approximately 233,000 square feet of office and retail space on the lower levels. The property is located at the northeast corner of Madison Avenue and East 60th Street.

Excavation Underway For 545 Coney Island Avenue In Kensington, Brooklyn

Excavation is progressing at 545 Coney Island Avenue, the site of a seven-story mixed-use building in Kensington, Brooklyn. Designed by Daniel Condatore and developed by Zelig Weiss of Riverside Developers under 545 Coney Island LLC, the 70-foot-tall structure will span 51,026 square feet and yield 74 rental units with an average scope of 640 square feet. The project will also include 3,627 square feet of commercial space, a cellar, and 37 enclosed parking spaces. The property is located between Webster Avenue and Newkirk Avenue.

Foundations Underway for 684-Foot Office Skyscraper at 625 Madison Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Foundation work has begun at 625 Madison Avenue, the site of a 34-story commercial skyscraper in the Plaza District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and Gensler and developed in a partnership between Related Companies and Andrew Mathias, the 684-foot-tall structure will yield 858,500 square feet of carbon-neutral office space. Both of these figures are a substantial departure from previous plans, which called for a 1,264-foot residential supertall. The property is located between East 58th and 59th Streets, between the Plaza District office core and Billionaires’ Row residential corridor.

65 Franklin Street Rises Above Grade In Tribeca, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 65 Franklin Street, a 24-story residential building in Tribeca, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Sky Equity Group under the 65 Franklin LLC, the 293-foot-tall structure will span 235,000 square feet and yield 106 condominium units in one- to five-bedroom layouts. The project will also include 17,000 square feet of commercial space on the first two floors, a private porte-cochère entrance, and a 24-space parking garage in the cellar. The property is located at the southeast corner of Franklin Street and Broadway.
