Renderings have been revealed for 301 East 71st Street, a 30-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 340-foot-tall structure will yield 70 rental units, with 18 designated as affordable housing. The property is located at the northeast corner of Second Avenue and East 71st Street.
The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is set to review the latest design for a sprawling single-family residential building at 11 Hubert Street in Manhattan’s Tribeca West Historic District. Designed by SPAN Architecture, the project will repurpose the existing three-story commercial structure on site into a private residence, and is the latest iteration in a string of “mega-mansion” proposals for the property, which is located at the southwest corner of Hubert and Collister Streets.

Located between West 183rd Street and West 181st Street, the lot is near the 183rd Street subway station, served by the 4 train. Aurel Sterkaj of Gotham Construction Group Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is wrapping up on The Riverie, a two-tower residential complex at 18 India Street along the East River in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Designs and developed and built by Lendlease, the project yields 834 rental units across the two structures, the taller of which will stand 37 stories and 402 feet tall. Aware Super is the joint developer, INC Architecture & Design is the interior designer for the public areas, and Crème is the interior designer for the townhouse units at the complex, which occupies a full block bound by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, West Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west.
Charney Companies and Tavros Capital have closed on construction capitalization for 175 Third Street, the fifth and largest building in the Gowanus Wharf masterplan in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the 27-story structure will span approximately 1.1 million square feet and deliver nearly 1,100 residences, with 25 percent of the apartments designated as permanently affordable. The property is located between 3rd Avenue and the Gowanus Canal.
