This week, developers celebrated the completion of two new affordable housing properties within the sprawling La Central residential complex in Melrose, The Bronx. Located at 556 and 600 Bergen Avenue, buildings A and B comprise nearly 500 income-restricted units, a new YMCA, a production studio for BronxNet, a rooftop farm operated by GrowNYC, and a mix of retail businesses.
Today’s housing lottery round-up features six buildings in The Bronx and Brooklyn with available affordable units on Housing Connect with deadlines closing within the next seven days.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1728 Townsend Avenue in Mount Hope, The Bronx. The six-story residential building was designed by Badaly Architects and yields 22 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are seven units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $48,000 to $139,620.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 516-518 East 147th Street Apartments in Mott Haven, The Bronx. The adjacent four-story mixed-use developments are designed by Shahriar Afshari and yield seven units each with community facility space on the ground floor. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $139,620.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Betances Senior Residence, a Passive House senior housing building at 445 East 142nd Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. The 12,000-square-foot development is designed by COOKFOX Architects and is developed by Breaking Ground. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 78 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $53,700.
