182 Affordable Housing Units Coming to NYCHA-Owned Land in Fordham Heights, The Bronx

Construction is imminent on Twin Parks Terrace, a 14-story affordable housing development in the Bronx’s Fordham Heights neighborhood. Settlement Housing and Joy Construction are developing the project on land owned by New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), in partnership with New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, New York City Housing Development Corporation, and NYCHA. Danois Architects is designing the mixed-use building that will include 182 residential units, amenities, 10,489 square feet of ground-floor retail, and 1,883 square feet of community facility space.

Housing Lottery Launches for 2317 Cambreleng Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx

The affordable housing lottery is open for 2317 Cambreleng Avenue, an eight-story mixed-use development in the Bronx’s Belmont neighborhood. Developed by Stagg Group and designed by WMW Architects, the 50-unit building will yield 53,775 square feet with half of the units designated as affordable housing. Available on NYC Housing Connect are a mix of studios, one-, and two-bedroom units for residents at 120 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $56,572 to $147,360.

Permits Filed for 751 Rosedale Avenue in Soundview, The Bronx

Developers Secure $349M for Bronx Point Affordable Housing Complex, in the South Bronx

L+M Development Partners, Type A Projects, BronxWorks, and the City of New York have closed on $349 million financing package to complete phase one of Bronx Point, a new mixed-use affordable housing complex in the South Bronx. As a public-private partnership, the financing entities include the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Development Corporation, Empire State Development, Wells Fargo, and additional private funding sources.

Construction began last week on Williamsbridge Gardens, a two-building affordable housing development in the Williamsbridge neighborhood of The Bronx. Developed by B&B Urban and L+M Development Partners and designed by MHG Architects, the pair of eight-story buildings located at 722 East 212th Street and 711 East 211th Street will bring 170 units of affordable housing to low- and moderate-income families.

The affordable housing lottery is open for The Grand Apartments, 94 newly built units across three buildings in the South Bronx‘s Mount Hope and Fordham neighborhoods. All three 12-story properties are developed by Thorobird Companies and designed by GF55 Partners. 220 East 178th Street yields 43,291 square feet with 52 residential units and ground-floor community facility space. 225 East 179th Street comprises 33,602 square feet with 37 residential units, and 2195 Morris Avenue has 52,005 square feet with 49 residential units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are a mix of studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom units for residents at 30 to 80 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $0 to $112,800.

Doe Fund Brings 68 Affordable Housing Units to 3188 Villa Avenue in Bedford Park, The Bronx

Villa House, a ten-story affordable housing building by The Doe Fund, has received its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy. Located at 3188 Villa Avenue in Bedford Park, The Bronx, the development will yield 68 units of affordable and supportive housing. Additional partners in the development process include the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, NYC Housing Authority, the Corporation for Supportive Housing, and NYC Human Resources Administration.
