Back in October 2018, YIMBY revealed a batch of fresh renderings and site plans for a proposed affordable housing development in the Westchester Square community of The Bronx. Today, the project is expected to move forward as intended following strong support from neighborhood residents, small business owners, and local union members.
A new condominium residence from R+B Development will soon take shape in Spuyten Duyvil, a historied, Dutch-borne neighborhood of The Bronx that has, in some ways, matured into a suburb for the upper middle class. The project is located at 3128 Henry Hudson Parkway and YIMBY has the exclusive new renderings of the rising structure, designed by C3D Architecture.

Located between Jennings Street and East 172nd Street, the vacant lot is one block north of the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Hagai Laniado is listed as the owner behind the applications. The developer is also associated to the recent permit filings for 194 Buffalo Avenue in Brooklyn.
Permits are up for a ten-story residential building at 1771 Weeks Avenue, in Mount Hope, The Bronx. The site is two blocks away from the 174-175th street subway station, serviced by the D train. Stephen De Vardo, operating under an LLC, is responsible for the filings. Back in 2015, Lorenzo De Vardo filed for a ten-story, 18-unit development with a square footage of 19,512 square feet on the same lot.
