Brookfield Properties has officially announced its Bankside mixed-use project in Mott Haven, near the southern tip of The Bronx. The development includes seven residential buildings, 34,000 square feet of public waterfront space along the Harlem River, 15,000 square feet of retail, and a mix of community facilities.
Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 234 East 203rd Street in Bedford Park, The Bronx. Located between Grand Concourse and Valentine Avenue, the lot is one city block north of the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Yoel Mandel under the 234 East 203rd BSD, LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits for a new eight-story residential building in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx were recently approved by the New York City Department of Buildings. Located at 1526 Sedgwick Avenue, the 85-foot-tall structure is designed by J Frankl Associates and will yield 32,980 square feet with 26,800 square feet dedicated to residential use.
Samaritan Daytop Village and Manatus Development Group recently broke ground on The Richard Pruss Wellness Center in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. The community facility will provide outpatient treatment for substance use disorder, mental health services, care coordination, and also serve as a primary health clinic.
Developers and city officials recently celebrated the commencement of construction at Peninsula, a five-acre mixed-use complex in The Bronx. Located in Hunts Point, the project includes a complete transformation and conversion of the defunct Spofford Juvenile Detention Center.
