Financing Secured For Campos Plaza II Renovation In East Village, Manhattan

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has closed on $92.5 million in financing for the renovation of Campos Plaza II, a two-building residential development in Manhattan’s East Village. The project, part of NYCHA’s Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) initiative, will modernize 224 apartments housing more than 450 residents. Development partners L+M Development Partners, Type A Projects, and Henge Development will lead the rehabilitation.

Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center Opens In East Flatbush, Brooklyn

On Monday, city officials celebrated the opening of the Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center, a $141 million community facility at 3105 Farragut Place in the Little Haiti section of East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Developed by the NYC Department of Design and Construction using the design-build method, the 74,000-square-foot center is expected to serve more than 41,000 residents living within a 15-minute walk or transit ride.

Financing Secured For Five-Building Portfolio In Williamsburg And Brooklyn Heights

Edifice Partners LLC has secured $19 million in financing for the Edifice Portfolio, a group of five renovated multifamily properties located in Brooklyn. The Edifice Portfolio consists of 42 residential units spread across five pre-war buildings at 431–433 Wythe Avenue and 313 South 4th Street in Williamsburg, and 19–21 Columbia Place in Brooklyn Heights. JLL Capital Markets arranged the financing from City National Bank.

41-42 24th Street Receives Refinancing Deal In Long Island City, Queens

JLL Capital Markets has announced the refinancing of QLIC, a residential tower at 41-42 24th Street in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by World Wide Group and Rabina, the 21-story structure yields 421 units. The refinancing package totaled $160.25 million and came from global investment firm KKR. The property is located between 41st Avenue and Queens Plaza North.

LPC To Review Proposal For 106 West 81st Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

NYC To Install Heat Pumps At Beach 41st Street Houses In Edgemere, Queens

Materials science R&D company Radical AI has announced plans to establish its new headquarters and fully autonomous research facility at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The company plans to renovate and repurpose space in Building 20 to create a $4 million lab capable of conducting up to 100 AI-driven experiments daily. Funding for construction includes up to $2 million in performance-based tax credits through the Empire State Development (ESD) Excelsior Jobs Program.

The New School is seeking approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission for a preservation project at its Educational Building at 70 Fifth Avenue, an individual landmark in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. The 12-story building was built between 1912 and 1914 and designed by Charles Alonzo Rich in the Beaux-Arts style. Bacon Lane Architects is serving as architect of record, with Acheson Doyle Partners as preservation consultant and Cribstone Engineering as structural engineer.

One Liberty Plaza Unveils Lobby Art Installation At 165 Broadway In Financial District, Manhattan

Brookfield Properties has unveiled a new art installation by artist Pierre Huyghe at One Liberty Plaza, a 54-story, 2.3-million-square-foot office skyscraper at 165 Broadway in Manhattan’s Financial District. The centerpiece of the building’s reimagined double-height lobby is A::Light, an interactive ceiling-based artwork that functions as a playable video game. The installation was presented in collaboration with Fine Art Concepts, LLC, with Huyghe represented by Marian Goodman Gallery, and lobby interiors by Gachot Studios.

Developers Secure $525 Million Refinancing for One High Line in Chelsea, Manhattan

Witkoff and Access Real Estate have secured a $525 million refinancing package for One High Line, a two-tower mixed-use development at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, the development contains 236 residential units as well as the recently opened Faena Hotel New York. The property straddles the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bounded by West 17th Street, West 18th Street, Tenth Avenue, and West Street.
