Financing Secured For Campos Plaza II Renovation In East Village, Manhattan

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has closed on $92.5 million in financing for the renovation of Campos Plaza II, a two-building residential development in Manhattan’s East Village. The project, part of NYCHA’s Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) initiative, will modernize 224 apartments housing more than 450 residents. Development partners L+M Development Partners, Type A Projects, and Henge Development will lead the rehabilitation.

Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center Opens In East Flatbush, Brooklyn

On Monday, city officials celebrated the opening of the Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center, a $141 million community facility at 3105 Farragut Place in the Little Haiti section of East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Developed by the NYC Department of Design and Construction using the design-build method, the 74,000-square-foot center is expected to serve more than 41,000 residents living within a 15-minute walk or transit ride.

Financing Secured For Five-Building Portfolio In Williamsburg And Brooklyn Heights

Edifice Partners LLC has secured $19 million in financing for the Edifice Portfolio, a group of five renovated multifamily properties located in Brooklyn. The Edifice Portfolio consists of 42 residential units spread across five pre-war buildings at 431–433 Wythe Avenue and 313 South 4th Street in Williamsburg, and 19–21 Columbia Place in Brooklyn Heights. JLL Capital Markets arranged the financing from City National Bank.

Proposed work includes a one-story vertical addition set back from the primary façade, creating a new fourth floor and roof terrace. The project team aims to maintain the building’s historic elements while converting it from a multi-family into a single-family residence. The property is located between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues.
