The Symon Nears Completion at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights

Work is wrapping up on The Symon, a 13-story condominium building at 70 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Colberg Architecture is the architect of record, while Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies are the three developers. The project is located between Boerum Place and Court Street and is steps away from the faux subway entrance to the subterranean New York Transit Museum. Studio DB designed the interior and exteriors of the building.

One Clinton Street Tops Out Above Brooklyn Heights

One Clinton Street aka 280 Cadman Plaza West recently topped out at 36 stories over Brooklyn Heights. The mixed-use residential building is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Hudson Companies. The 295,000-square-foot project will include 134 residential units and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library that is replacing the former Brooklyn Heights Library. The tower is situated on a triangular-shaped plot at the confluence of Clinton Street, Tillary Street, and Cadman Plaza West. At 409 feet, it is currently the tallest structure in the neighborhood.

One Clinton Officially Launches Sales in Brooklyn Heights

Located across from Cadman Plaza Park, One Clinton has officially launched sales of its 133 residences. Developed by The Hudson Companies Inc., the Marvel Architects-designed tower is being marketed by the Cornell Marshall Team from the Corcoran Group, with the sales gallery located at 157 Remsen Street. The imminently 38-story tower is set to be completed next year.

One Clinton Street Passes Halfway Mark Above Brooklyn Heights

Since we last checked up on One Clinton Street, back in late August, it was only about nine stories above street level. Now, the 36-story residential tower is climbing past the halfway mark on its way to a 409-foot pinnacle. The Marvel Architects-designed skyscraper is being developed by Hudson Companies, and will span 295,000 square feet when finished. The triangular-shaped property sits at the northern confluence of Cadman Plaza West and Clinton Street, and is also known as 280 Cadman Plaza. Located in Brooklyn Heights, the building will have 134 units and 114 off-site affordable units. One Clinton Street Library will be built on the lower floors, replacing the site’s formerly extant Brooklyn Heights Library.

Permits Filed for 186 Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn

Permits have been pre-filed for a 14-story hotel at 186 Remsen Street in the Brooklyn Heights historic district of Brooklyn. Saint Louis-based HOK, the largest architecture firm in the US, will be responsible for the design. Located right across from Brooklyn Borough Hall, the site will have access to a plethora of transit options. Within just three to four blocks, guests can find the A, C, F, N, Q, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains.

Across the harbor from Manhattan, Quay Tower has been quietly and steadily rising. The 28-story condominium project at the southern edges of Brooklyn Bridge Park has recently topped out, and the façade is now eight stories above street level. New Close-Up Revealed For 28-Story “Quay Tower” Coming to Brooklyn Bridge Park

A new close-up rendering has been revealed of the Brooklyn Bridge Park condominium project, now officially known as Quay Tower. The 28-story building will be located at the southern end of Pier 6, in Brooklyn Bridge Park, along the East River. The project, designed by ODA Architecture’s Eran Chen, will offer residents permanently unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline, New York Harbor, East River, as well as the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.

Two New Designations Complete Trio of Individual Landmarks on Brooklyn’s Bank Row

The city of New York has two new individual landmarks. On Tuesday, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to designate the buildings at 181 Montague Street and 185 Montague Street in Brooklyn. The move extended the preservation of the borough’s banking history.
