A new, 8 story residential building will soon rise at 167 Willoughby Street, in Downtown Brooklyn‘s buzzing southern corner. Located just steps from the massive City Point development, the corner lot measures 2,425 square feet, facing Willoughby and Fleet Streets.

Today, we have a look at a new kind of development for the area, featuring a fusion of design that will bring much-needed modern office space to the booming district.
Back in January, YIMBY posted a new rendering for Red Apple Group’s 3514 Surf Avenue, in Coney Island. Since then, we’ve spoken with the site’s developer, John Catsimatidis, who offered an even fresher image of the project, as well as some additional insight into what’s happening across the neighborhood and Brooklyn.
Permits have been filed for a 13-story high-rise residential building at 169 Tillary Street, in Downtown Brooklyn. The site is six blocks away from the DeKalb Avenue Subway Station, right by 138 Willoughby Street, as well as 9 and 61 Dekalb. Gold Street Realty Holdings will be responsible for the development.
New information has been revealed about 80 Flatbush, in Downtown Brooklyn, by Alloy Development. The release brings new renderings, as well as a construction timeline and design revisions in response to a substantial voluntary review process. The proposal will begin the formal public review through ULURP, i.e. the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure, in early to mid-March. Architecture Research Office will be responsible for the design of the school, to be included in the base.
