Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 25-23 Newtown Avenue in Astoria, Queens. Located between 28th Street and Crescent Street, the lot is near the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Robert Cerrone of Park Construction Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 30,402 square feet. It is unclear how much square footage will be allotted to residential space, but the building will have 27 residences. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 55-foot-long rear yard, and 16 open parking spaces.
Gerald Caliendo Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed earlier this month for the two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
