Inside Look At Historic 108 Leonard Street’s Renovation in Lower Manhattan

Located in Lower Manhattan and bounded by Broadway, Leonard Street, Catherine Lane, and Lafayette Street, the conversion and restoration process at 108 Leonard Street, aka 346 Broadway, is an ongoing and intricate effort. Built on a thin, rectangular block with an Italian Renaissance revival architectural style, it was completed in 1894 by McKim Mead & White, the “starchitects” of the early 20th century in New York.

30 Warren Street Topped-Out and Nearing Completion in Tribeca

Sitting directly across the street to the east of 108 Chambers Street, another new residential project is changing the landscape of Tribeca. Located between Warren Street and Chambers, the 12-story 30 Warren Street has already-topped out, and is currently blanketed in a web of scaffolding and black construction netting. The building is being designed by Post-Office Architects (POA), while HTO Architects serves as the executive architect. Cape Advisors is developing, the same group behind 75 West Broadway just down the block to the west.

111 Murray Street Nearly Complete as Facade Installation Wraps, Tribeca

Nearly four years after permits were filed, 111 Murray is almost entirely finished. The 792-foot tall structure will add 157 condominiums to the Lower Manhattan and Tribeca market. After applications were approved in May of 2015, construction was quick to start. Now, the development by Fisher Brothers, Witkoff, and New Valley is nearing completion. All that remains to be installed of the facade are two glass panels on the southwestern edge.

Facade Installation Begins for 108 Chambers Street, Tribeca

Standing in the heart of Tribeca at the corner of Chambers Street and Church Street is 108 Chambers Street, a low-rise 10-story mixed-use residential building designed by Woods Bagot Architects and developed by Greystone Development. Now, the facade is beginning to be installed along Church Street, with waterproofing preceding glass panels. The concrete structure’s exterior will soon be faced in a mixture of glass and dark angled panels.
