Work Appears Stalled on Danny Forster’s Modular Hotel at 842 Sixth Avenue in NoMad

YIMBY checked in on 842 Sixth Avenue in NoMad, the site of what will become the world’s tallest modular hotel. Designed by Danny Forster & Architecture, the future 26-story building will house the AC NoMad Hotel by Marriott International. Concord Hospitality is the developer of the 100,000-square-foot project, which will contain a total of 168 guest rooms, outdoor terraces, and a rooftop bar. The narrow rectangular plot is located along Sixth Avenue between West 29th Street and West 30th Street.

Demolition Permits Filed for 752 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side

Full demolition permits have been filed for a 25,000-square-foot, four-story structure at 752-760 Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Locate at the corner of East 65th Street, the site is planned to yield a 12-story building that will house the new Giorgio Armani flagship boutique with residential units on the upper floors. SL Green Realty Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications and partnered with Giorgio Armani Corp. for the future development.

Lattice Cladding on Morris Adjmi’s 30 East 31 Street Nearly Complete in NoMad

The exterior of 30 East 31st Street in NoMad is getting closer to completion. Located between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue, the 39-story, 479-foot-tall residential property is designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and is being developed by Ekstein Development and Pinnacle Real Estate. Reuveni Real Estate is marketing the 42 units, which will be spread across more than 70,000 square feet and average 1,700 square feet apiece. Prices range from $1.65 million to upward of $12 million.
