Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 320 Essex Street in East New York, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Essex Street, the lot is also addressed as 742 Liberty Avenue. The site is near the Shepherd Avenue subway station, served by the C train. Balkar Singh of Royabi Design Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 29,223 square feet, with 27,158 square feet designated for residential space and 2,065 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 40 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 678 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Muzaffar Jamal of Architectural Concept is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
