Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 2273 Pitkin Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Schenck Avenue and Pitkin Avenue, the lot is blocks from the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, served by the A and C trains. Yitzi Salamon is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 115-foot-tall development will yield 62,476 square feet, with 59,074 square feet designated for residential space and 3,402 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 90 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 656 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.
Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not yet been filed for the commercial structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
