The affordable housing lottery has launched for Nehemiah Gateway Site 26A, an eight-story residential building at 890 Erskine Street in East New York, Brooklyn. Designed by Bernheimer Architecture PLLC, the structure yields 184 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 64 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $72,900.
Building amenities include an on-site resident super, outdoor recreation area, elevator, gym, library, community room, and a card-operated laundry room. Apartments are equipped with vinyl tile, quartz countertops, and stainless-steel appliances. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including stove.
At 50 percent of the AMI, there are 33 studios with a monthly rent equivalent to 30 percent of the tenant’s income for incomes ranging from $0 to $64,800, and 31 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent equivalent to 30 percent of the tenant’s income for incomes ranging from $0 to $72,900.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 12, 2025.
