Permits have been filed to convert a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1380 Putnam Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Wilson Avenue and Knickerbocker Avenue, the lot is near the Halsey Street subway station, served by the L train. Asad Mehmood under the 1380 Putnam Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 59-foot-tall development will yield 7,959 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have six residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,326 feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, roof terrace, and a 51-foot-long front yard.
Philip Toscano Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
