Tishman Speyer has secured a $331 million construction loan to begin development on 50 Hudson Street, the second phase of a two-tower residential project in Jersey City, New Jersey. The 40-story tower is planned to deliver 924 rental apartments, 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and a new public plaza connecting to the Hudson River esplanade. The building was designed in collaboration with Handel Architects, Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, Hollander Design, Melillo Bauer Carman, and Michaelis Boyd.

50 Hudson complements 55 Hudson Street, the first phase of the campus that is currently under construction. The 58-story tower is slated to yield 1,017 rental units, 60,000 square feet of retail, and 75,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, with completion expected in early 2027. Both towers are targeting Fitwel certifications.

50 Hudson is located adjacent to the NJ PATH and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail systems, as well as ferry terminals offering rides to Lower Manhattan.

“50 and 55 Hudson are designed to complement and enhance the Jersey waterfront, bringing new homes, additional shops, and activated public outdoor spaces for the entire community to enjoy,” said Tishman Speyer senior managing director Erik Rose.
