Two Trees Management has unveiled plans for a new bakery and restaurant at the Refinery at Domino, an office building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Led by Saga Hospitality Group with Chef James Kent and SC Holdings, the space will occupy approximately 3,000 square feet within the 460,000-square-foot property, which was renovated by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism.
The Refinery is part of the redeveloped Domino Sugar Factory campus and merges historical architecture with modern design in the heart of Williamsburg. The entire campus site on the East River waterfront plans to yield approximately 4,000 residential units on a 10-acre plot.

“We are thrilled to welcome Saga Hospitality Group and Chef Renata Ameni to The Refinery,” said Bonnie Campbell, principal of Two Trees Management. “The Williamsburg waterfront is one of the city’s most compelling new culinary destinations, and we have no doubt that this exciting new bakery concept will quickly become a favorite of our tenants, local residents, and visitors to Domino Park.”

  1. I’m confused, what is the Refinery? Is it the first picture or the second one? Is this about the existing building, or some upcoming developments? Perhaps some context would be help with this paper.

It’s the first building, which isn’t actual new, it’s a repurposed industrial building that was part of Domino Sugar’s refinery. The second illustration is a bit further North and is of a future development that has nothing to do with the story (other than it’s also owned by Two Trees), so not sure why they included it.
