The affordable housing lottery has launched for 29-19 Newtown Avenue, an eight-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by CE Architect and developed by L&A Group Holdings LLC, the structure yields 44 residences and 59 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are seven units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $60,000 to $187,330.

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, covered parking, a shared laundry room, and a gym. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a monthly rent of $1,750 for incomes ranging from $60,000 to $138,840; two one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,200 for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $156,130; and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,575 for incomes ranging from $88,286 to $187,330.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 9, 2022.
