A teaser site and new renderings have been released for Olympia, a 26-story mixed-use residential building at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Developed by Fortis Property Group and designed by Hill West Architects with Workstead handling interiors, the 270-foot-tall tower will yield 76 condominium units.

Olympia will feature 38,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, 72,500 square feet of community facilities, and parking. Residential amenities include a lounge, a sauna and spa, gym and a yoga room, and a swimming pool.

The development’s name stems from the history of the neighborhood, a waterfront village named Olympia that later became part of the Parish of Brookland and ultimately the City of New York. When complete, the high rise will have expansive views of Lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor. Its distinctive sail-like massing will be complimented by maritime colors and industrial materials, harkening back to the area’s roots.

YIMBY previously reported a completion date for December 2021.

Wow. These units might have the best views in NYC.

  2. One thing about New York City , it continues to evolve. The beauty is a wonder.

  3. Now this is nice. I’d love one of those west facing units with the terrace.

For decades the view looking north along Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights was of the Manhattan Bridge, the interesting buildings in DUMBO, and the vista looking beyond to the East River and Manhattan. Now, the view is increasingly of this tower, blocking off that vista. The building will also get the full blast of sound from the Brooklyn Bridge approach literally next to it. Hope they have triple-paned windows!

  5. Ah yes, this one. I think it will be an instant icon. So nice.
