  1. It’s yet another (quite nice looking) basic modern residential building unless you forget all the greenery on the roof. Very nice.

  2. Those trees lol.

  10. AMI calculations for affordable housing is such a scam. How is $2,000 per month affordable for someone with a gross income of $69,000?

Meanwhile congress dont want to release $1,200 to its own people…. from their own taxes.

We truly do live in a dystopia.

    • Affordable housing ??lmfao

      • It’s really sad what this place is turning to the reality is I’m preparing for retirement and scared as far as housing is concern I’ve tried to stabilized my self where finance is concern don’t wanna be hand to mouth the biggest problem is rent. I pay 1,600 monthly in order keep a roof over my head can’t afford that. When I retire. So I decided to try ny housing waste of time applied to like about 50 with I make too much or too little not catered for the low income now that the covid is back only god know where things will be change of government people loosing g their job. I do have a job and still it’s a struggle every day my prayer goes up for the housing situation to change where we can all benefit only by gods grace

    • I agree with you! affordable? Not for the people who live in that neighborhood

  11. Way back Housing used to be for people with low income why they call it now housing it’s look like a private house located in Mill basin georgetown something like that

    • For anyone that wants to apply to this housing lottery, you have to go “NY Housing Connect” website as stated in this article. YIMBY doesn’t manage this, they are just reporting it.

  28. Who is this affordable for exactly ?

  29. I totally agree this is not affordable housing. It’s ashame that these developers get good tax breaks just for so called allocating a number of units for so called low income families. The rich get richer. Pure greed is what it is. SMDH?

    • This is affordable housing? For WHO? SMH…in Flatbush the average family may make $55,000 and that’s stretching it. These housing laws must change to stop building these so called affordable housing. A typical family will have to make at least $68,000 to get the apartment and spend $26,400 of that to live in it…New York and it’s landlord greed will soon pay the price

    • You said it!!! The rich are getting richer and the low income get to be homeless!!! Its so sad. But true..

  30. hello I need to know about the application where where I had to sign will application and I’m a low income for SSI I want to know a qualifying thank you

  31. This is not affordable housing. This is ripoff housing . And genotype will begin who has money and who don’t have money. Go to a housing project if that’s the case.

Marva, right below there is an article for senior housing, with income levels starting at $0. Keep looking for similar programs/lotteries on the HPD
    You can also call 311
Also, if you go into a shelter they have housing specialists that may be able to direct you some city housing programs.
Lastly, perhaps is time to high tail it out of here. It’s getting too much, to hard to live here

  37. This is a joke you call those numbers affordable, the affordable apartments that are listed will be filled with people that don’t need affordable housing. It’s just a way to keep people that need affordable housing out, because those numbers are not affordable to most people in Brooklyn. A JOKE!!!

  38. Affordable to whom?

  39. A city employee that needs one please.
