Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 104 East 53rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Winthrop Street and Clarkson Avenue, the interior lot is within walking distance of the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 3 train. Babak Shamsian under the East 53rd BK LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 38-foot-tall development will yield 5,620 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 702 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Shahin Badaly of Badaly Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in November 2019 for the two-story frame house. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
