Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 897 New York Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Martense Street and Church Avenue, the interior lot is three blocks east of the Church Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Chana Lichtman under the 897 New York Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 7,034 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 703 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Shawn Stiles of S&S Architectural Design LLC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
