Last week, Andres Azpurua’s Onsite Project Consulting filed plans for a little condo project at 650 Metropolitan Avenue, a block from the Lorimer Street L stop in Williamsburg. Now we have a rendering for the six-story development that will rise between Leonard Street and Manhattan Avenue.

650 Metropolitan will host eight apartments divided across 9,488 square feet of residential space, for spacious average units of 1,186 square feet each. The apartments will break down into five two-bedrooms and three one-bedrooms. Their asking prices will be typical for new condos in the area—around $1,150 a square foot. With that in mind, our average unit (probably a two-bedroom) would ask $1,363,900.

Only few blocks to the west at 280 Metropolitan, a 400-square-foot studio wants $615,000, or $1,537 a square foot. Meanwhile, a 684-square-foot one-bedroom at 390 Lorimer, roughly seven block south, is similarly priced at $765,000 ($1,115 a square foot).

In terms of design, the new building will sport a clean, monochromatic facade. The main structure will be white, and a black wing on the right side will offer private terraces for four units and shared roof deck. There will also be 1,400 square feet of retail on the ground floor.

Domo Architecture, based in Tribeca, are the architects.

Construction is expected to finish by the end of 2016.
