Queens Public Library At Rego Park Breaks Ground at 91–41 63rd Drive in Rego Park, Queens

Construction has broken ground on the Queens Public Library at Rego Park, located at 91–41 63rd Drive in Rego Park, Queens. Designed by Weiss/Manfredi and managed by the Department of Design and Construction (DDC) on behalf of Queens Public Library, the three-story, 18,000-square-foot facility will replace the existing one-story, 7,500-square-foot branch. The site is located at the corner of 63rd Drive and Austin Street.

Restored Soccer Fields Reopen On Randall’s Island, Manhattan

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, alongside NYC Parks Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa and the Randall’s Island Park Alliance, has announced the reopening of four newly restored soccer fields at Randall’s Island Park in Manhattan. The $5 million project, funded through a city capital investment, transforms the former site of the Randall’s Island Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center into a recreational space with synthetic turf fields and improved pedestrian pathways.
