Construction is nearing topping out on 1448 Third Avenue, a 39-story mixed-use tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Douglaston Development, the 478-foot-tall structure will span 287,632 square feet and yield 125 condominium units with an average scope of 1,804 square feet. The building will also contain 40,864 square feet of commercial space, 21,224 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 20-foot-long rear yard. The property is alternately addressed as 175 East 82nd Street and located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 82nd Street.

Renderings Revealed for 70 Abendroth Avenue in Port Chester, New York

Renderings have been released for 70 Abendroth Avenue, a six-story residential building in downtown Port Chester, New York. Developed by The Hudson Companies, the project is slated to yield 203 residential units, including an affordable housing component. The project will also feature roughly 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a community facility, and on-site parking. The project site is bounded by Adee Street to the northeast, Abendroth Avenue to the southeast, and North Main Street to the northwest.

Rendering Revealed for First Phase of Arverne East Affordable Development in Edgemere, Queens

A new rendering has been revealed for Arverne East Building D, a ten-story residential building in the first phase of the 116-acre Arverne East oceanfront master plan at 116 Beach 36th Street in Edgemere, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed in a joint venture between L+M, Urbane Development, The Bluestone Organization, Mega Group Development, and Triangle Equities Development Company, the 355,000-square-foot structure will yield 320 apartments. The units will consist of 230 affordable rental apartments and 90 affordable homes for purchase.

Funding Secured For Sparrow Square Development at 681 Clarkson Avenue in East Flatbush Brooklyn

Funding was recently secured for the first phase of Sparrow Square, a $1 billion redevelopment of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center at 681 Clarkson Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by nonprofit Breaking Ground Housing Development Fund Corp. and Douglaston Development, the project will consist of two ten-story buildings yielding 262 affordable units. The complex will also include an 8,000-square foot community facility for the Brooklyn Ballet. Adjaye Associates is serving as design architect for the 7.2-acre property, which is generally bounded by Winthrop Street to the north, Clarkson Street to the south, and Albany Avenue to the west. The development will also create Sparrow Way, a new private drive aligned with East 43rd Street.
