Renderings have been revealed for a five-story residential development in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, offering a first look at the rising project. The property comprises three neighboring lots, which have been repurposed as a trio of row homes that will be addressed as 106-110 East 53rd Street.
Permits have been filed for a 21-story residential building at 14-16 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Located between East 8th Street and East 9th Street, the lot is one block north of Washington Square Park and a short walk to the 8th Street subway station, serviced by the R and W trains. Madison Realty Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications, purchasing the mixed-use property in 2015 from City Urban Realty for $27.5 million.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 47 New Lots Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located between Mother Gaston Boulevard and Christopher Avenue, the lot is four blocks west of the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Work has begun on the crown of Skyline Tower, aka 23-15 44th Drive, the 21st tallest building under construction in YIMBY’s annual December countdown. The reinforced concrete superstructure topped out over Long Island City at 778 feet tall, making it the current tallest skyscraper in Queens and the outer boroughs. The project is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by United Construction & Development Group, FSA Capital, and Risland US Holdings LLC. Modern Spaces is the exclusive marketing and sales agency for the 802 residences, which are designed by Whitehall Interiors.

The Central Park Conservancy and The Parks Department have unveiled plans to revamp Lasker Skating Rink and Swimming Pool located in the Harlem Meer section of Central Park. Designed by Susan T. Rodriguez Architecture Design and the Central Park Conservancy, the project arrives as one of the final components of a $150 million renewal plan for the park’s northern tip.
