Developed by Wyton Developers and designed by Nikolai Katz Architect with interiors by Input Creative Studio, the structure yields 89 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 28 units for residents at 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $36,069 to $181,740.

Designed by Urban Architectural Initiatives and developed by The Lantern Organization and Mega Contracting Group, the structure yields 135 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 53 units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $24,515 to $105,060.

The development will rise three blocks away from the Cleveland Street Subway Station, serviced by the J trains. Plan for “Chestnut Commons” Affordable Housing Revealed in East New York

Plans have been announced for 274 affordable housing units as part of a project entitled Chestnut Commons, in East New York. A rezoning shift pushed by the East New York Neighborhood Plan is mostly responsible for the site’s potential. The building will be affordable to households earning up to $51,540, with more than 80 units for households earning up to $25,770, including a set-aside for formerly homeless families and individuals.

Permits Filed for 2437 Pitkin Avenue, East New York, Brooklyn

East New York’s infill boom continues apace, and now, an application for a new seven-story building at 2437 Pitkin Avenue has been filed by Williamsburg-based Southside Associates. At a height of 75 feet, the project would be among the taller structures in the area. The mixed-use development will have a total construction area of 23,000 square feet, including nearly 1,000 square feet of commercial retail on the first floor. The remaining 22,000 square feet will be divided amongst 32 residential units. The architect for the project is Diego Aguilera Architects, P.C., and demolition permits have not yet been filed for the existing garage.

Permits Filed for 975 Liberty Avenue, East New York, Brooklyn

The East New York development boom continues to gain steam, and new building applications have now been filed for a site somewhat removed from the majority of the neighborhood’s new construction, at 975 Liberty Avenue. The lot is located just to the south of Cypress Hills’ boundaries, two blocks north of the A and C trains’ Euclid Avenue stop. The construction area will measure just shy of 37,000 square feet, which will include a nine-car parking garage on the first floor, 478 square feet of commercial space, and 23,125 square feet of residential space, to be divided amongst 35 units. At an average size of 650 square feet, rentals are all but guaranteed. Vasilious Georgopolous of Panagis Georgopolous Architect PLLC is the architect of record, and Sal Mendolia of Liberty for All LLC is listed as the developer. An existing two-story structure must first be demolished.
