Construction Continues on 1601 Dekalb Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Construction is progressing on 1601 Dekalb Avenue, a nine-story, two-building residential complex in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Camber Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership, the $75 million project will yield 127 affordable housing units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 45 reserved for stable housing and supportive services for young families. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is situated on an interior lot between Wyckoff and Irving Avenues with frontage on both Dekalb Avenue and Hart Street.

Permits Filed for 135 Woodbine Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 135 Woodbine Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Central Avenue and Evergreen Avenue, the lot is near the Knickerbocker Avenue subway station, served by the M train. Tyrone Thompson-El of Roy Coleman Trust is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Construction is wrapping up on The Cedar Tower, an 18-story residential building at 60 Cedar Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by S. Wieder Architects and developed by Louis Handler of BTE, the 197-foot-tall structure yields 145 rental units with 42 dedicated to affordable housing, as well as a 490-square-foot ambulatory health facility. The property is situated on an interior lot between Myrtle Avenue to the north and Evergreen Avenue to the south.

1333 Broadway Nears Completion in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 1333 Broadway, a 22-story mixed-use building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed by Ekstein Development Group under the 1333 Broadway LLC, the 206-foot-tall structure will span 136,000 square feet and yield 115 rental units, with 30 thirty percent dedicated to affordable housing, as well as office space, a community facility, and ground-floor retail. The property is located on a rectangular parcel at the intersection of Broadway and Linden Street.

All-Affordable Housing Building Tops Out at 63 Stockholm Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on 63 Stockholm Street, a four-story all-affordable residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by STAT Architecture and developed by RiseBoro Community Partnership and St. Nicks Alliance under the Bushwick Alliance LLC, the 20,111-square-foot structure will yield 20 rental units, a cellar level with bike storage, and a rooftop covered with a photovoltaic canopy. The $10 million project is located on a formerly vacant interior lot between Central and Evergreen Avenues.

Permits Filed for 962 Bushwick Avenue, Bushwick, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a new seven-story condominium building at 962 Bushwick Avenue, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The project would replace a three-story residential structure. The site is four blocks away from the Gates Avenue subway station on Broadway, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Plenty of restaurants and shops dominate the vicinity, including a grocery store.

New building applications have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use project at 1595 Broadway, on the southwestern edge of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The structure will have a total area measuring 49,284 square feet, to be occupied by a 7,400 square-foot retail component on the first floor, 7,420 square feet of community facility space on the second floor, and 22,752 square feet of residential space above that. The residential will be divided between 35 units, with the average square footage of under 650 square feet highly indicative of rental apartments. Diego Aguilera is the architect of record, Martin Joseph of Bawbeh United, LLC, is listed as the developer, and a nondescript one-story building must be demolished before construction can begin.
