Work has passed the halfway mark at 460 Main Street, aka Riverwalk 8, one of the newest additions to Roosevelt Island. The 21-story, 341-unit building is designed by Handel Architects and is being developed as a joint venture between The Related Companies and Hudson Companies. This will be the eighth component in the nine-building Riverwalk rental complex. Groundbreaking occurred earlier this year and topping out should happen sometime by the end of the year.
One Clinton Street aka 280 Cadman Plaza West recently topped out at 36 stories over Brooklyn Heights. The mixed-use residential building is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Hudson Companies. The 295,000-square-foot project will include 134 residential units and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library that is replacing the former Brooklyn Heights Library. The tower is situated on a triangular-shaped plot at the confluence of Clinton Street, Tillary Street, and Cadman Plaza West. At 409 feet, it is currently the tallest structure in the neighborhood.
The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development has announced the construction of two affordable housing projects in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Together, the 100% affordable housing developments will create more than 250 homes for low-income families and the formerly homeless.
In a recent reveal, The Hudson Companies released updated renderings of a new, mixed-use residential project on the rise at 350 Clarkson Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture, the building’s 227,000 square feet will comprise 250 market-rate rentals, office space, ground floor retail, and a potential community facility.
Located across from Cadman Plaza Park, One Clinton has officially launched sales of its 133 residences. Developed by The Hudson Companies Inc., the Marvel Architects-designed tower is being marketed by the Cornell Marshall Team from the Corcoran Group, with the sales gallery located at 157 Remsen Street. The imminently 38-story tower is set to be completed next year.
