Professional services company Turner & Townsend has signed a 12-year lease for 24,394 square feet at 100 Park Avenue, a 36-story office tower in Midtown, Manhattan. The lease covers the entire sixth floor of the 905,000-square-foot building, bringing it to full occupancy. The property is located between East 40th and 41st Streets.
Originally built in 1949, 100 Park Avenue underwent a $72 million redevelopment in 2009 designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by SL Green Realty Corp. As a result of renovation work, the building received a LEED Gold certification. Notably, it was one of the first buildings in SL Green’s portfolio to feature a green roof.
100 Park Avenue features a recently constructed tenant-only amenity suite that includes a hospitality-oriented lounge, conference facilities, a golf simulator, game room, personal training studio, and executive travel showers.
The building is located one block south of Grand Central Terminal, providing convenient access to the 4, 5, 6, 7, and S trains, as well as the Metro-North Railroad.

How is the signing of a lease of a floor in a mundane building newsworthy?
Because they are owned by CBRE and likely have strong contacts to the real estate industry, and subsequently the operators of this blog.
Also, there are plenty of comments here from people who say the office is “over” and office buildings like this are “empty”
