Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 489 Liberty Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Miler Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue, the lot is near the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, served by the C train. Marco Verdugo of Verdugos GC Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 59-foot-tall development will yield 17,657 square feet, with 14,581 square feet designated for residential space and 3,075 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 18 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 810 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long side yard, and three open parking spaces.
Xiucheng Li of Bayside Engineering PC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
