Façade installation is progressing on 660 Lexington Avenue, a 19-story residential building in Midtown East, Manhattan. Developed and built by Sergey Rybak of Rybak Development and designed by project architect Zproekt Architecture and design architect S20M, the 233-foot-tall structure will span 52,558 square feet and yield 23 condominium units with an average scope of 2,123 square feet. The building will also contain 2,551 square feet of commercial space, 1,174 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. The property is alternately addressed as 133 East 55th Street and located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 55th Street.

The building has topped out since YIMBY’s last update in mid-February, when the reinforced concrete superstructure was nearing its pinnacle after a brief pause in construction. The building now stands shrouded in scaffolding and black netting as crews work to install the grid of floor-to-ceiling windows, which are visible across the lower levels along Lexington Avenue. A metal framework covers the surrounding exterior walls in preparation for the final cladding.

The site was formerly occupied by a two-story commercial structure, as seen in the below Google Street View image from before its demolition. Rybak Development purchased the property from the Biagi family for $24 million in December 2021.

The rendering in the main photo looks north at the upper half of 660 Lexington Avenue’s southern elevation. The façade is composed of light gray paneling with vertical scoring between the floor-to-ceiling windows, which are arranged into two-story groupings with bronze-hued spandrels on the upper floors. The setbacks are shown lined with glass railings for terraces, and the structure culminates in a multifaceted bulkhead enclosed in a bronze-hued screen matching the appointments below. Light fixtures on the upper levels will illuminate the crown at night.

The closest subways from the development are the local E and M trains at the Lexington Avenue–53rd Street station to the south, with a connection to the local 6 train at the 51st Street station.

660 Lexington Avenue’s anticipated completion date is slated for the winter of 2025, as noted on site.
